Dear Local Union Officers — On Thursday, May 1, May Day rallies are being held across the country, hosted by a variety of unions and community organizations. Please see the list of May Day events for more information here. May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, is a celebration of working people and a call for solidarity and action in the ongoing fight for workers’ rights. In this moment, it’s as important as ever to show we stand together as working people! If your Local is participating in any May Day event and would like the International to help promote attendance on social media, please email a flyer to comms@iatse.net no later than 12:30 p.m. Eastern / 9:30 a.m. Pacific on Wednesday, April 30. We are also collecting photos and videos from members who participate in these rallies. Please send content (or have your members send content) to comms@iatse.net. In solidarity, Jonas Loeb IATSE, Director of Communications |
